Food For Thought

The Bible says there is nothing new under the sun.  I believe this is true. In fact, in my short life span, I've seen clothing styles come and go around a few times with only slight changes and appear new again. So it is with trends of thought.  The principles I share on this blog, are not new. I only share them because they have served me and in my desire, to help my fellow earthlings, sooth their pain, I offer my perspective.

Recently, I have been struggling with keeping my thoughts positive.  In today's economic climate, everywhere I go and no matter who I talk to, everyone is in a state of fear for their future. The mass consciousness had begun to seep into my consciousness. The interesting thing was, there was nothing wrong in my world. Yet, my  imagination took hold of the idea of fear and lack and ran with it. A full film was developed and began to play over and over again creating more fear. Snowballing!!!  I had to quickly find away to stop it!!!. I certainly know, that which we give our attention to, we bring into our experience.  However, I couldn't seem to shake it!!!

What I learned was this: When I allowed the fear to come in, I  lost touch with my source. The  FIRST thing I should have done, was to BREATH and get CENTERED, realizing that GOD is my SOURCE and gets GREAT PLEASURE in fulfilling my needs, or that I live in an ABUNDANT UNIVERSE that ALWAYS CONSPIRES for my highest and greatest good.

The second thing I learned, was to STAY PRESENT.   Realizing that life is a series of moments. there is NOW, NOW and NOW again.  There is always NOW!!! Ive found that it is important to live the Present for the gift it is

The Third thing I learned and applied, was to: USE MY IMAGINATIVE POWERS WISELY . If  I decide to fantasize, or project something into the future, It will be a film of my own will and desire. I pledge Daily to Practice these three Principles.

The Power Of Thought

Thought is power.  Thought is the power that drives creation. In fact thought is creation. However, as with any powerful force, uncontrolled, it can cause devastation and catastrophic consequences.  If we take a step back and review the circumstances in our lives, we will find that we have given thought or have held pictures in our minds or even feared that some condition in our life, good or bad, would occur. And guess what? IT DID!!!

Our emotions are rocket fuel to our thoughts. When we think or focus on any idea, good or bad, and pour any emotion in it, I assure you, that idea will soon show up in your life experience.  What we fail to understand is, as long as you are thinking, you are creating.  Because we don't control our thinking, we are creating or operating by default. You can look at your life's condition and measure just how well you are doing in this area.

Its been said, 60,000 thoughts flow through the human mind daily. So you may ask, how can one possibly control all this thinking? Well, controlling all your thoughts is a difficult task.  However, you can control how you feel. Instead of trying to control your thoughts, make a conscious decision to FEEL GOOD!!!  Trust me, you cant FEEL GOOD and hold a funky,negative thought.  The Idea is to always FEEL GOOD!!!

This month, Practice FEELING GOOD.  At all cost, work to FEEL GOOD in all situations everyday. If your mind starts going negative, choose a thought that feels better. Its your mind and you must train it to do your bidding. Use this tool. While practicing this technique, you will begin creating a new reality in your life,  Try It, You'll Like It:)!!!

Decision/Memories

Hello All,  Seven months ago, I made a decision to move to Florida. I am well on my way. Thats the reason I havn't written in a while.  We have driven from the Pacific Ocean, heading to the Atlantic Ocean.  We have stopped in Mobile Alabama where I am sending this blog. I have my Wife and Daughter in one car, my other Daughter and three Grandkids in a car and i'm leading as the trail boss in my car.  We have stopped in Lake Havasu, the Grand Canyon, Tucson, Arizona, El Paso, Texas to visit a cousin, My Family Reunion in San Antonio, Texas, Baton Rough, Louisiana and now Mobile, Alabama visiting another cousin.

This trip is part of my Odyssey. I am branching out from all that is familiar to implement all that I have learned in a new environment. When I made the decision to move, it was all motivated from what felt good from within. I felt if I have only this life to live, if I don't enjoy it fully, its no ones fault but my own.  My late brother Ben use to always say " Make a decision! Even if its wrong, Make a decision."  Well thats just what i've done.  In doing so, my Grandkids are along for the ride and road trip creating memories they can cherish and share.

Once I reach my destination, I will share much more.  Until then, God Bless.

Imagination

Those who know me, are aware of my love for the old, Disney Cartoons.  I have always been able to find, what I believe, to be the hidden meaning in cartoons. My very best , favorite is Peter Pan.  When I ask people what they thought made the children fly, most respond and say " The Pixie Dust."   However, when the pixie dust was sprinkled, everyone didn't get the lift off.  Why? You ask?    They had not yet learned to think the happy thoughts!  You see, thinking happy thoughts is what gives us lift and allows us to soar.  Ive learned the importance of capturing the emotions that make me feel good.  My mental climate determines my life experiences.  When I'm feeling down, I am inadvertently magnetising myself  for more misery and will continue feeling down until I break the cycle.

One of  the most effective ways I have found to break the cycle of misery, is to employ my imagination.  I think of a time when I was absolutely happy. A time when I received my first bike or when I found out the little girl I liked, liked me. That's a good one! I remember the butterflies in my stomach.The pure joy that I had found my first someone:). I smile inside now, as I write about it:)  Though I don't remember her name I do remember the emotion.  When I find myself heading for an emotional low, I now call upon that  special memory and all the emotions that come with it.  I capture those feelings and carry them with me throughout my day. I apply those emotions to everything else in my day.  Those feelings elevate my mental frequency and changes the vibrations of everything around me.  I've found, that I cant think funky thoughts when I'm feeling good.  In fact I make a conscious decision to say " Cancel, Cancel" to refuse entry of the funky thoughts and feelings.

Happy Thoughts keep me smiling and magnetises me to everything that is good:)  Use your Imagination and see where it takes you.  I read somewhere just today, that " Imagination is your life's preview of coming attractions." Ludacris

Purpose 2

Les Brown says, "The two most important days of  your life are your Birthday and the day you discover your Purpose."  I agree whole heartedly. You know, PURPOSE, ,,, it, it, it ooh,ooh, JUST FEELS SO,O,O GOOD!!!!!!!:)  My Purpose, Is To SERVE my fellow man.

I'm embarking upon a new adventure. I'm extremely excited. Until about Twenty years ago, all the businesses I've been involved with, over the years, were all about making money. Then I discovered my Purpose. It was tough at first. To make money at it, I mean. Though money is important, I'm no longer willing to give up my joy or suffer to get it.  Twenty years ago I developed a program to work with kids, that grew into working with families, that grew into a school. A tremendous accomplishment.  However, my love was not for the business. My love was for the people I served. I was indirectly on Purpose. You see, the services provided, were on purpose, but I was sidetracked with the politics.  I hated it!!!  Due to the growth, I didn't know every one's name anymore, new folk would come and I didn't get a chance to welcome or interact with them and the politics was an absolute nightmare.  I  lost touch with the whole reason for getting involved.

So, I took inventory of my routine. I discovered it wasn't in line with my purpose anymore.  I broke that routine. The habit went kicking and screaming. But, I broke it!! Habits are hard to break.  Ive found the way to get of one, is to replace it with another. Of course , you want to leave one that doesn't serve you for one that will. I guess what I'm trying to say is, " Its Important To Feel Good!" Life is too short to be in misery.  I don't believe we have been put on this earth to be miserable, but to do, as the Bible says " To have life more abundantly."

Ive rediscovered my purpose and have taken immediate action to live it.  Life feels good again :).  By feeling good, Ive raised my mental frequency to a higher level that attracts everything and everyone desired, to fulfill my purpose.  Its a beautiful thing :)  I Go within, as Franky Beverly sings, " Feel that Happy Feelin."  Capture it and carry it with me all day every day. Staying on Purpose, I Create my own mental climate. I Call it up from within and I start to live that joy inside, out!  Then I see life from a completely different point of view.

Go within, discover your purpose, kick fear to the curb and Go For IT!!!

Purpose

Paradigms, belief systems, habits..... There are many and varied names for the behaviors that enhance or impede our success.  None the less, the names don't matter.  What matters is the understanding that what ever term is used, these beliefs can either promote or BLOCK SUCCESS!!!  I've had many such behaviors and I’m still working on others.

Most folks know what they should do. But for the life of them, they can’t seem to behave as they should.  Why? It’s because of the many embedded or ingrained beliefs that are instilled in us from child hood. My parents raised me with the best of intentions. They provided me with some wonderful tools that have served me well.  On the other hand, they also inadvertently wrote some limiting beliefs in my mental program that have impeded my success. The fix or solution?  I've explored many religions, philosophy, chanting and meditations. I've even done a lion's share of drugs and alcohol.  However, discovering my routine was not producing the results I desired, forced me to make some adjustments.  The definition of insanity is to do the same thing over and over again, expecting a different outcome. What I mean, is this.  We all have a regiment that we follow from the moment we wake till we go to bed.  Yet we seldom stop to take inventory of the regiment to determine whether any of our behaviors are taking us where we want to go.  Knowing where you want to go is of equal importance.

The intent, however, is to have some tool to provocate or regulate one's behavior. PURPOSE became mine. Before I had purpose, I was flickering like a candle in the wind. I was controlled by everything outside of me.  Due to our human conditioning, we always tend to look outside ourselves, rather than from within. And it’s within, where we discover our purpose.  Quiet yourself, go within and ask, “Show me my purpose."

 Now, everything I do, is on PURPOSE:)

Stress 2

I pray monitoring your breathing has been of service to you:)

STRESS 2: All we have, is this moment. Yesterday is gone and our tomorrow will depend largely on how we live today. None the less, tomorrow is not promised.  So its imperative that we truly LIVE, Today.

You see, if we become angry about something, let it go cause it is already in the past. You cant get it back. Its a waste of time. So enjoy the Now. If you are worried about something or in fear, its generally about something in the future. A time you don't yet have. However, you create your future by the thoughts you harbor Now, Today. So Be Happy:) Its your choice, make a decision. 

I always say,"The more you are thankful for what you have, the more you will have to be thankful for and today, you are living yesterdays thoughts, grown up." So,  spend the present, the gift of Today, with your heart filled with gratitude for your haves.  The don't haves, you ask? Make some ME time and envision yourself having those, so you can magnetize them to you Today, that they may come in your future.

Stress

Stress: We all know stress is a crippling, killer. But how do we get it under control? I've found that stress has so infiltrated our lives, that it has become an old friend. Until we peek at the top of our stress thresh hold, we often feel we need stress in order to function. I use to think I operated at my best under stress:) In fact, we can allow ourselves to get stressed out over just about anything. Of course I'm wiser now and I want to share with you, how I deal with STRESS.

First of all, your emotions are like a mental thermometer. Your emotions reflect your mental climate. The important thing to know is, you can make a conscious decision to regulate your thinking. Your thoughts determine or evoke emotions. So, the moment you start feeling down or rushed, push the mental pause button and(Breath). Breathing is something many take for granted. Yet unless you do, you die. When you become stressed your breathing becomes shallow. You take many short breaths, Some people hyperventilate. The mental Pause Button for me, is taking a deep breath through my nose. I hold it as long as i can an let it out slowly through my mouth. It immediately takes my mind away from what ever is confronting me and allows me to chill. When I'm collected, i deal from a place of cool and calm. We can learn from watching a baby sleep. You will see when the baby breaths, its little diaphragm pushes all the way out on the inhale and goes all the way down when it exhales. Adults breath from the chest. on the inhale the chest goes up and on the exhale, it goes down. with us we are always in a state of fight or flight. Lets Breath & Walk In The L.I.G.H.T. Anthony's Odyssey

Hello, this is my first official blog.

My Mother passed away two years ago. Before she transitioned, I asked her, "Mom, I am so compelled to help people, yet I don't understand why it is, that I so emphatically,feel I'm capable?" Her response was, "Son, its in your microchip. It's because of all you've overcome and the knowledge learned from it."

The blog is self titled as my odyssey because my intent is to chronicle my journey as I transition from providing my skill or ministry in institutional or four wall settings to the global community. I pray, you will join my journey as I share an intimate view inside my mission to educate, inspire, bring light, self awareness and success to others.
